EFFICIENCY OF HTA CONSULTING COMPANIES IN POLAND BY REIMBURSEMENT DECISIONS
An analysis was performed of the reimbursement decisions for dossiers submitted per HTA consulting company in Poland for the period of 2015 – 2016. In order to be included in the analysis, an HTA company needed to have at least 10 applications evaluated in the specified time period.
Reimbursement applications were considered as evaluated if they have received a positive decision by the Ministry of Health or if the processing time has exceeded the limit (180 days for pharmaceuticals and chemotherapy and 240 days for determination of a drug programme).
The date of a positive or negative decision had to fall within the period of 2015-2016
A percentage was determined of a company’s successful applications by the following:
Positive reimbursement decisions by the Ministry of Health for a given HTA company for the period of 2015-2016 / All applications that were evaluated by the Ministry of Health for a given company for the period of 2015-2016

It is important to note that the recommendation by the President of AOTMiT makes up only one of 13 criteria for reimbursement
The most recent analyses performed by PREDECIZER showed that there is a weak association ( 0.10) between decisions of the Ministry of Health and recommendations of the President of AOTMiT when measured by Cramer’s V.
