Rapid review (RR) is a shortened form of HTA report (systematic review)
Rapid reviews (RR), a shortened form of a systematic review, are increasingly used by global HTA agencies due to its quick evaluation. The RR is recommended for drug technologies that have been available on the market for a long time and have not had their clinical efficacy confirmed in the HTA report (threatened with removal from the list of guaranteed benefits).
For a RR of medical procedures currently available in the system, a review is carried out using available and reliable secondary studies. In order to be perceived as a reliable and comprehensive source of information, the methodology for carrying out the RR must be transparent and its development should include a full description of the process.
